Care & Rituals
Caring for your wax flowers.
A bouquet made to remain still asks for a little care — most of it simply a matter of where it lives.
-
Placement
Choose a spot away from direct sunlight, heaters and draughts. Natural wax holds its shape best in a stable, cool room.
-
Heat & Sunlight
Wax is sensitive to warmth. Even indirect afternoon sun or a nearby radiator can soften petals over time — a shaded console or shelf keeps the bouquet at its truest form for longer.
-
Dusting
A soft, dry brush or a gentle puff of cool air from a distance is enough. Avoid water, cloths or polish on the wax itself.
-
Handling
Lift bouquets by the base, not the blooms — wax flowers hold their form beautifully at rest, but petals are more delicate than fresh ones under direct pressure.
-
If You Choose to Light It
Each bloom in a bouquet carries a wick. Light one bloom at a time, on a heat-resistant surface, and never leave a burning bouquet unattended. Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting.
Petite Fleur is the exception: its mini blooms carry no wick and are never lit. They are made to be melted in a wax warmer — see Care for Wax Melts.
-
Storage
If a bouquet is ever set aside unlit, store it upright in a cool, dry place, away from anything that could press against the petals.
