Care & Rituals

Caring for your reed diffuser.

A flameless fragrance still asks for a little attention — mostly a matter of where it stands.

  1. Placement

Stand the bottle on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight, heaters and draughts. A little air movement is enough — the scent carries best in a room that isn't sealed or blasted.

  2. Protecting Surfaces

Fragrance oil can mark wood, paint and some plastics. Keep the bottle on a tray or coaster, and wipe away any drips straight away.

  3. The Reeds

Set all the reeds in the bottle to begin. Turning them over from time to time refreshes the scent. For a softer fragrance, use fewer reeds; for a stronger one, use them all.

  4. When the Scent Fades

Reeds slowly clog over time. If the fragrance weakens while there is still oil in the bottle, it is usually the reeds that need replacing.

  5. Safety

Keep out of reach of children and pets, and keep away from open flames. Do not drink. If the oil touches skin or eyes, rinse well with water.

  6. The Bottle

The glass is yours to keep. Once the oil is finished, wash it well before reusing it for anything else.
