Care & Rituals
Candle care and safety.
Poured in a natural coconut and soy wax blend, a Veluno jar candle only asks for a few small rituals to give its best, burn after burn.
-
The First Burn
Allow the wax pool to reach the full edge of the vessel before extinguishing. This one act defines every burn that follows and prevents tunnelling.
-
Wick Trimming
Trim the wooden wick to 5mm before every burn. A well-tended wick burns cleanly, without smoke, and protects the full life of the candle.
-
Burn Duration
Burn for no more than four hours at a time. Shorter, considered sessions keep the scent throw even and the wax burning true.
-
Heat-Safe Surfaces
Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, curtains and anything that catches easily. The glass warms as it burns.
-
Extinguishing
A wick dipper or snuffer keeps smoke to a minimum. Never use water. Let the wax fully set before moving the vessel.
-
Candle Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets and anything flammable. Discontinue use once around 10mm of wax remains at the base.
-
After the Last Flame
The glass vessel is yours to keep. Clean with warm water once fully cooled, and repurpose as you wish.
